TeamViewer is my favorite for on-demand type remote access.  The client only
needs to run a small executable - no installation required - and provide the
machine code and password and you're in!  It's the most responsive tool I've
found and even let's you reboot and reconnect in safe mode - ideal for
malware cleaning.

TeamViewer is free for non-commercial use; $700 one-time fee for a single
admin with unlimited connections.
