Thanks Deke. I can work around it while I'm still working on this show locked to Nuke 7v10.
I also seem to be having an issue with piping a Constant color into ReadGeo. I get some faces/surfaces that are black. I have looked into making sure normals are facing the correct direction, but that hasn't fixed it. Any ideas on that one? I can project on the black surfaces, but constant color cannot be piped into them. thx Dan On Tue, Sep 23, 2014 at 1:02 PM, Deke Kincaid <[email protected]> wrote: > There was a bug all through Nuke 7(fixed in 8) where if the alembic file > doesn't contain a childBounds property then it would crash even though in > the spec this is optional. > > -- > Deke Kincaid > Creative Specialist > The Foundry > Skype: dekekincaid > Tel: (310) 399 4555 - Mobile: (310) 883 4313 > Web: www.thefoundry.co.uk > Email: [email protected] > > On Tue, Sep 23, 2014 at 5:03 PM, Dan Rosen <[email protected]> > wrote: > >> Hi all, >> >> I am having some success and some pretty bad bugginess with Alembic. >> Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this and has any work-arounds. >> >> If I hide child components within a ReadGeo node, the other remaining >> visible pieces will transform to a random scattered mess.
