I turned out, quite justifiably I believe, to have been a major party-pooper around the opening of the Lion Corner restaurant. When, in an earlier post in this thread, I let rip about ³ŠYOUR SORT² as in: WE HAVE WAY TOOOO MANY OF YOUR SORT IN OBSERVATORY ALREADY !!!! the two operative words there were unfortunately very open to hurtful misinterpretation. When I used the words YOUR SORT I was referring to the number of liquor licence holders in Obs. I was not referring to gay people. Had I been sounding off about gay folk, my salvo would, very appro- priately, also have been aimed at myself ! I have apologized unreservedly to Gert and have wished him well for their opening tonight. Thank you for receiving me so hospitably, Gert, given the regrettable circumstances around our meeting. I am sorry I caused hurt.
