Hmm... since you brought the open world creation idea up again, Maggie.
Couldn't someone who is wanting an open game create a multi-genre place,
somewhat like say, Nexus, Lords of Creation, Planescape, etc. You could
define it as d20 game, so you wouldn't have to worry about rules as much,
and you could create the main place, with the gates, portals(whatever you
call them) and define that part of the setting as PI. That would give people
who want to be involved with your place, but create something wacky, a way
to freely add to your game, and perhaps help to garner the interest you are
looking for. Pros or Cons, anyone?
