When I spoke to Living Room Games this is what I got.
* It has been discussed and while it might happen not in the near future.
*They are interested in returning the ED's original customer base.
-Most ED gamers like ED because it IS NOT D&D.
*When ED is stable and profitable they might like at making a line for
d20 Earthdawn but it will never be only d20
Personally I like the concept of spell hanging. It works quite well for D&D.
You cast the majority of the spell and 'hang' it in the astral plane; when
you need to cast the spell you complete the incantation and the spell is
released. It makes so much more sense than spell memorization and can
develop excellent storyhooks.
