I don't want to dredge up issues by digging out old messages; but there were
word choices that implied a moral or ethical superiority of free works over
the commercial D20 works. As far as I can judge by their posts here and the
quality of their products, the commercial producers have proven to be fine,
upstanding citizens of the Community.

And you may be right. I'm not asserting that you're wrong. I believe you
are, but have nothing to back up the belief. So I'm more than willing to let
the market perform experiments and we'll learn which model works. Then we'll
all be acting on more than just belief.
