What messages? When people challenge a particular strategy for dividing
product identity and open content, it doesn't necessarily follow that they
believe
any use of product identity is bad.
I hope products like the Creature Collection succeed. I just think it would be
more of a success if some of the monsters were fully open content. I feel the
same way about all of the D20 products -- I'm extremely impressed with the
decision to designate Freeport as open content.
