Ok, so I could if I wanted implement the entire D&D3E rules into my mud
but
couldn't use the d20 logo or mention about it. Which means I could show xp
etc
to the players including what they need for next level, and base combat on
the
d20 combat system but not use the logo.
Is that correct?
Next up normally I would not be able to simply take spell names and put
them
in a mud and have them do the same effect as another game since they would
be copyrighted.. Would any part of the license allow me to do this? Or is
that
material still copyrighted?
Note I don't mean simply pull out the spells, descriptions and how they
work and
put that in the mud, just the name and a paraphrased description. The how
they work
eg does x dmg against n etc would be hidden in the code and not visible to
the player
would this be allowed? Since in most published material this probably
wouldn't
(although that's a guess) but does any part of the ogl allow this?
cheers,
