It'd be an interesting experiment for them to release a splat book with the included rules as OGL, and compare its actual sales to its sales projection. I know that I'd buy a copy in a heartbeat.
(MM II, which did include some OGC, was just some re-use of OGC and was beaten out for my $40 by the Everquest PH.)
