You mean, afterbattle scripts? I hadn't heard about this, but the code
definitely looks like they'll steal the return value. I think some people
probably rely on fightformation calling the afterbattle script. To fix that
bug, we could just store the result of the battle in a temp variable without
changing the behaviour of fight formation.

I don't know whether it's better or not that fightformation waits. But I've
never noticed it being inconvenient, is it?
