romp is the best , no need further more comments,

On what serious linux distro is vlc the default player?
all players based on mplayer or ffpaly support out of the box dvd play...

no need for close/restricted player /codecs in order to have a full-optional
default media player, an i'm more then sure that if you bring this to
your council
will agree with dropping vlc... if no serious distro adopt vlc as default
must be a reason...
IMO you are still believe that that small amount of users that we have
will accept everything you impose them , then you can be proud , MANDRVA SA
lives in you.
