Hi All,
It's a difficult one after all it does boot and you can install it.
Failed bootloader installations are due to missing boot bios partitions
in MBR mode and it is possible fix either by creating the partition at
install time or installing grub manually using blocklists this requires
the --force option on the grub command line. I have already written a
piece detailing the issues on the WIKI. The rest is pretty much usable
the main issue being a broken rpmdrake and samba. Samba is easily fixed
(missing samba directory in /run) and if we do a final spin that is
easily fixed.
urpmi works fine and I have already put stuff in the release notes
about the broken rpmdrake. Though the broken mdkapplet is a pain. I'm
in favour of release but I do think we need get some fixes out for the
more major issues asap. We should also point out that KDE4 is available
in the repos and is working should people wish to install it.
The 2015 release represents a huge amount of work ~(moving to clang and
major updates swcripting laguages) it's time we put out something to
show that we are making progress. I'm giving it a Go.

alpha ISO 9036)
Personally, I think it's good enough for a go this round, as long as we
emphasize that a KDE5 Alpha will come soon.
Not everything has to work. We still have to flesh out the barriers
between alpha/beta/rc, and we're just getting to the point where we can
safely determine what constitutes what based on manpower.
But your thoughts? Note that once things start working, they shouldn't
regress. UEFI wasn't working before, so it's reasonable to have it
still malfunctioning this round.

LXQt alpha was about to show off great work done on clang
switch, but now this is lost.
I asked it few times to create some basic QA procedure for
testing ISO, upgrade from previous releases done weekly, and it
never fleshed out. Mostly this looks like some kind of rush
because I have to ping on ML about to test iso and get some
feedback. Robert I suggest to you to start working on QA
procedure of testing, because current situation is highly
unprofessional.
My frustration has nothing to do here, because I used to this
over last 3 three releases. What really concerns me is that we
on Fosdem will have noting to offer to visitors.
What I should say to visitors who will notice our banner that we
are 100% clang, and they asked for iso?
There are no usb sticks to give away, so idea was to give QR
code to sf.net alpha release.
Speaking of manpower, I bet you have friends who are interested
in Linux, ask them maybe this will help to get new people on
board.
