Well, that gives me an idea. How about Liberty Graphics Project?
Freedom Graphics Project or Graphics Freedom Project would be alternatives,
and that phrasing would neither claim that the hardware is without cost, nor
that it's fully Free-as-in-speech. To preserve our reputation for
truthfulness, we need to be careful not to claim to be more Free than we
really are. If we're able to produce anything that's fully free, it would
be the standards, not the hardware. Graphics Free Standards Project???
Free-Standard Graphics Project???
Regarding the OGD1P part number family, it's too late to change
that.

I like your ideas. Unfortunately, "Liberty Graphics" comes up with
too many hits on google.

Maybe we should squish parts of words together. Like "LibGraph" but less sucky.

Also, responding to some other people in this thread... does anyone
have some time to make some changes to the wiki?

I definitely won't have a chance until this weekend or later.

Oh, and "Free Design" sounds like a good expression to me. I'm not
sure we can fit it into the project name, but it's good terminology in
general.
