Sorry about breaking the threading -- if we had more time, I would come up with a better solution, but that will have to wait.
-- Howard Parkin said: -- On point 4) above, I completely confused. How is the 92/120 pin connector compatible with the 60 way connector. I know some of the gumstix cards are compatible with more that one version of the motherboard, but I think thats because the newer motherboards have 2 (connex) or 3 connector (verdex) types fitted, not because a 92 way will fit on a 60 way. -- end quote -- What I meant is that if we attach to the 60 pin, a different board can be attached to 92 or 120 pin. For example, here are some possible configurations: CFstix (92) <-> connex400xm <-> OGD (60) netwifimicro-SD (120) <-> verdex 6LP <-> OGD (60) ... where as if we attach to the 92 pin or 120 pin connector, we are left with (assuming we manage to have both 92 and 120 pin connectors): OGD (92) <-> connex400xm <-> robostix (60) OGD (120) <-> verdex4bt <-> GoliathGPS (60-verdexonly; host USB) OGD (92) <-> connex400xm <-> tweener (60 through) <-> waysmall (60) These are perfectly reasonable stacks, but there is no 60 pin board that has 802.11 or compactflash or MMC; this means that if we attach to the 92/120 pin connector, then the ODG cannot use MMC, compactflash, or 802.11. In this sense, ODG would be "compatible" with MMC, compactflash, and 802.11 IF we attach to the 60 pin connector. Does this makes sense? Hope that helps clear things up! nick _______________________________________________ Open-graphics mailing list [email protected] http://lists.duskglow.com/mailman/listinfo/open-graphics List service provided by Duskglow Consulting, LLC (www.duskglow.com)
