No ARM is not an example at all. ARM do only closed "IP's" and earn
money by selling licence.

If you want to sell licence, you will convince very very few people to
work on the open part of OGP, because this people should give there
copyright to the compagny. So they are supposed to work for free
without return, because real hardware will not be at no cost. If you
want ot be such compagny, you will have the model of Trolltech on Qt
and MySQL : opensource are only for QA. So you need to hire tens of
coders, to do the hard stuff.
