The "Patron has an invalid address" message that Scott sees appears when the "Invalid patron address penalty" Library Setting is enabled. If it's not enabled, then you just see the Address header turn red. I believe the issue Scott is seeing is related to the toggle that turns the sidebar on and off when accessing the patron record. If you add an alert message manually through the Messages tab are you seeing that as soon as you double-click on the account or only after you hit the back button? When I first search for me by name and click on my record, only the “Test” alert appears in red. If I double-click to open my record and then use the Back button to go back to the results page, it appears. When I'm testing, alerts don't show up until you open the patron record (just clicking on a patron in a search list doesn't show the alerts), however, the name appears in red if there are problems and if the mailing address is invalid then it appears red. If the email address is invalid, the email field is just blank on the summary bar. I do get the alert on the Stop Sign screen. It turns out such an alert will appear, but only if you go into the patron record and then press the Back button on the PC. Has anyone else seen this?
