Alan,

No one should take TIOBE seriously.  The guy is a known CF hater.  CF
was at one time I think as high as 17th on that list.  He chose to
capriciously apply a rule to cause it to drop out of the top 50 while
not applying the same logic to other languages on the list.  I
politely questioned him in an email and he not so politely told me it
was his list and he would do whatever he damn pleased.
