There is an OpenSolaris distro called "Belenix" and I have heard rumors that it 
can read and write to NTFS file systems much like the newer versions of Red Hat 
Fedora can.  It also can apparently read and write to ext3, ext2, FAT and ZFS 
partitions. Give it a try from these links:

I guess just because the parent OpenSolaris Indiana distro that I use doesn't 
have a feature doesn't mean that the feature isn't already available in one of 
the child distros like Belenix, Milax, Nexenta, etc.
