Eh, part of my message got garbeled... what I was trying to say in the incomplete sentence there was that Win4Solaris has superior performance to Virtual Box in the specific case of running Windows apps under Solaris (Windows apps run with only a 5% overhead under Win4Solaris- that's a big deal for people like me who have a slow CPU with only 2 gigs of RAM and desparately want to use OpenSolaris as their main operating system for everything).
Don't get me wrong, I really like Virtual Box, I just couldn't get it to successfully replicate enough MS Windows running on bare metal features to get my girlfriend (who knows nothing about computers) to replace MS Windows altogether with Solaris running VirtualBox. I'm hoping to have better luck with Win4Solaris but only time will tell. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
