Whoops, I didn't notice that fosilftn (fossil fortran?) had already posted my Virtual Box link farther up in the thread. So I guess he's already tried Virtual Box and found it to be too cumbersome to set up properly for seamless integration between Windows and Solaris?
In that case, if he already tried Virtual Box and didn't like it and he's looking for is easy, seamless integration between Solaris and Windows with a company that offers support packages for it, then probably the best way to go is to bite the bullet and shell out the $49.99 for Win4Solaris. I know, it's much more cool to work with a free and open source project like Virtual Box and spend time tinkering with it and contributing back to the community to make it a better product. However in this narrow, specific case, of a scientist doing research that requires Windows apps and he doesn't want to spend a lot of time configuring VirtualBox and doing work-arounds, Win4Solaris is probably the best tool for the job. I don't work for Sun or for VirtualBox or for Win4Solaris here. I'm just giving my honest opinion. Feel free to disregard it if you disagree. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
