With regards to licensing, I know that Deviantart has a system where you're prompted to choose what kind of license you would like to put your work under when you first upload it. Maybe there could be a section in the metadata of the model that specifies a license. Perhaps the designer can even be presented with a list of conditions (i.e. diagram distribution, commercial use, etc) where they can specify levels to make it easy for them to customize their license. -- -- Gareth Chen
