Hi, and thanks for all the thoughtful feedback. Here's some answers to
questions various folks have posed:

>>>credit card payment?

Don't recall the exact numbers, but I think the fees were around 40%
higher, with some dependence on the size of the transaction. The
differences matter the most with micropayments, of course.

>>> Is this the essence of "the case" for not supporting it at The Source?

Not sure I'd call it the "essence," but it was a significant factor.

>>> I also wish to purchase on line diagrams is my information encripted?

Yes. checkout uses https.

>>> PayPal account holders can get a PayPal debit card for free that works
>>>for any vendor that takes credit cards.

Cool, I did not know that. We should probably work that into the FAQ.

>>> Here is a thought does OrigamiUSA own the rights to a lot of
>>>designs? If so, why not put them in the store? especially if there
>>>are a lot that have never been in print.

We're working on putting past Origamians, Newsletters, and The Paper into
the store. As you might expect, there's a fair chunk of work associated
with making that happen (and, apologies if I get too repetitive on this
point: most of it will be done by volunteers on time-available basis), but
it's definitely under way.

>>> Most vendors make these choices based on the ³discount rate² they were

>>>what they do not mention clearly is that when the buyer uses a ³rewards
>>>card² that gives him cash back, those funds actually come from the
>>>seller, in the form of much higher discount rate as much as 5%.

That's also good to know & take a deeper look at.

>>>Another possible suggestion for the future might be to add the ability
>>>to ³add funds to my account². i.e. put in $25, then make purchases

Another good idea to put into the hopper of possible enhancements (and
yes, that does feel like a good chunk o' programming).

One of the biggest challenges of setting up such a metadata system
(whether recorded at the artist level, or product-by-product) is defining
what the set of possible licenses should be to cover 90% of the
circumstances of interest -- and not making it so complex or annoying that
sellers are put off. I think everyone who's started looking into serious
implementation runs into this issue, and I'm sure the rightsowner
directory project will have to deal with it. (And if they find a good
working solution, that might then get integrated with the file download
sales.)

Thanks again,

Robert
