MTASC

I am somewhat sorry that Nicolas doesn't want to support AS3 (same
reasons as Claus Wahlers) but I respect his decision.
This is however not a surprise for me because he already proposed to
compile alternative languages into SWFs. He now has a good reason (and
enough credibility) not to support AS3 and push an in-house language
;)

FLASHDEVELOP

FlashDevelop will support AS3 and probably this 'Flexible' language as
its syntax apparently doesn't require too much additional parser work.

FlashDevelop does not require MTASC to work. It will be possible to
use the Macromedia compiler.

I plan to include AS2/AS3 syntax checking into FlashDevelop. And I
believe the 'Flexible' language could be integrated as well.

BTW

I would be very interested by an AS2/AS3 CUP or ANTLR grammar, if
someone already has done some work about it.
