Macromedia/Adobe has IMHO been incredibly supportive of the osflash movement -- think it could prove to be a valuable asset to the usergroup program to have a different branch of usergroup, like an MMUG or CFUG but now rather an OSUG.

Must say I haven't found running an MMUG has in any way restricted us in terms of what we can present or talk about and has the benefit of being affiliated with the mothership. This is just my own view on things, feel free to disagree. We're not trying to reinvent Flash here and working as closely together with Adobe as possible can only benefit us in the long run and avoid FUD from being generated.

So does this mean, your Peter is ready to give up his new freedom for
some peanuts? At least Macromedia has had some usergroups going, the
same is true for Adobe probably. I don't think it's a good idea to mix
them up with Osflash. But this are only my personal 2 ct.

Cheers,
Ralf.

Peter reacted on the 'first topic ever' Dutch group, with the idea to
make the group (groups i this case) original adobe groups. That way we
could maybe get some breeze communication going for online meetings.
