Here are the results: upon firing the GLObjectsVisitor, the app built with OSG 1.2 calls glGenTextures() 1795 times, while the newer build calls it 2734 times. I'll study the osgViewer code, maybe my viewer is setting up things incorrectly... If so, I wonder why it works fine with OSG 1.2.
