Thanks all. I've tried a couple of things, and my Thunderbird mailbox turned messy. I know man would say "Don't use OTRS if you don;t want it to download your emails bla bla bla", please, just go away!
If anyone knows of a good way to alter OTRS' behavior regarding downloading emails and keeping them on the server, please go ahead and tell us.. this could be anything up to script editing.
