sometimes i get the feeling that the "foreigners" (as myself and
will) - to the old "US of A" are treated slightly different.
just like USA needs 110V, 1900Mhz GSM mobile transmission, NTSC
video.. i could go on.. but i dont want to offend any americans.
the REST of the world is happy on 220/240, 900 + 1800Mhz GSM
and PAL.. it is the americans that make our lives most difficult
at times.
as far as i am concerned.. waiting over 1 week for this kind
of information is not acceptable.
no wonder why people resort to warez site etc to obtain the
information they require..
actually.. surprisingly enough, i remember seeing a link for
FREE downloads (no signatures / NDA's etc) for the DEBUG ROMS..
... and to top it off.. it was at www.3com.com
looks like a nice little employee within 3com decided to
put the debug ROMS up down download.. :> (the link no longer
works - it was open for nearly one month i believe).
as for overseas support? what a laugh!
i called the Swedish office.. got forwarded to Netherlands,
and UK processed it. for me to track my "problems" i had to
call everywhere.. and everything is oh-so-perfect for USA
people!
i always thought "people" were equal.. 3com should treat
their foreign developers with the same rights (turnaround
times etc) as their fellow US developers..
