The answer to this question really depends on who you believe your target
audience is. Personally, I like to write my apps to work on anything
starting with OS 2.0 and up. When your app must rely on features only found
in later OS versions, you have to decide if you will gain enough customers
by writing code to add those features yourself. In general, unless you have
control over the hardware people will use for your program, then it is
better to try to support the widest possible audience.
