        Not really. Remember, at it's most basic, Windows is a shell over DOS, 
which derived from Unix. Since Linux was stolen from Unix and is at the 
base of the MAC OS, it should be no surprise they have a lot of 
operational similarities. This is why you can get Windows apps to work 
on a Linux box and vise versa.
