Mike,

Unfortunately if your disk is dead having a restore disk that provides 
access to the hidden partition on the dead disk doesn't do you a lot of 
good. :) Dell has a Keyboard shortcut that reinstalls from the hidden 
partition too. I use Norton Ghost on my test machines and that works 
great. You should get a set of disks from the manufacturer though. They 
don't automatically include them because the majority of users never 
need them.
