I tried the same thing but the problem is that, for some reason, it 
continues to spray onto those gray rollers. I discovered this is why 
the paper is getting all those ink marks. On a HP, you can clean the 
heads and look easier but on an Epson, you cannot get under there to 
see why it is doing that. It's a shame. I actually still have a 
warranty I purchased at Office Max that is active but wonder if they 
will honor it when I used generic cartridges.  If I thought buying an 
Epson Cartridge would work, I would do it; but I used 2 different 
brands of generic cartridges and it still does the same thing. And as 
we know, those cartridges are 3 times the price of generic. I'm 
inclined to think that something is wrong.
