It has something to do with SCSI. I believe termination power is not
really termination, so you need the last device on the chain/cable to
provide termination power and have a terminator on the next connector,
which would be the last one in the chain.

I'm not 100% sure what the proper settings would be, but I can tell you
your problem is related to SCSI termination.
