Not sure where you heard this, but it isn't true on my Kodak DX3500
(2.3MP). Also, I've had no problem printing to 8x10 photopaper.
Granted, a 2.3MP camera's full size (off the camera) printed jpeg on
either lower or higher resolution isn't going to be as sharp as a
print off my Nikon, but since I'm not doing studio portraits, it
doesn't matter.
