I've got a Kodak DC3400 which can connect via standard Mac serial. It seems to be a pretty nice camera, 2x optical zoom (and a 3x digital, but I don't use that). Compgeeks has them for $184 new. The serial connection can be flaky, at least on slower systems, but the USB has been reliable. Lately I've just been putting the compact flash card into a USB printer with a CF reader-- it saves cable swapping. CF cards seem to have a standard format for saving images, so if you get a camera with compact flash cards, a standard CF card reader should work. I've even got a pcmcia adapter that lets me use the yellow photo kiosks in drugstores to get good quality prints directly from the CF card. -- Dana [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
