It depends on your commitment to the digital image:

If you want to get high-quality still images into your Mac I can recommend the
Canon ELPH PowerShot S200.
My daughter has one and LOVES it. It cost about $300 U.S. right now.
(There has been a hundred dollsar U.S. drop in cost in the past month, so find
one quickly or they will be all gone.)

If you don;t want to hammer the pig, there are EXCELLENT digital cameras from a
few years ago to watch for on ebay....like the quicktake 150, kodak dc40, dc120
and dc50, casio qv-700, sony mavica mvc-fd7, agfa ephoto 1280, fujifilm ds-300,
olympus c-1400l.

Personally, I use a quickTake 150 and Kodakl DC-40 and I love them both.
Anything that cost a thousand dollars in 1995 should be available for $25 to
$35 now on eBay.
