The mail is part of it, sorry. But trashing the AIM module was not 
intended for you to get rid of that which is a separate app, but to spare 
you from having to reinstall version 4.3.1.2.3.

I have 4.8 running just fine on a G3/350 iMac and a 500 mhz Ti book.
I have not gone to any "beta" browsers even on a new G4 because I can't 
trust them just yet.
