Mine is on the single channel adaptec card. Using software RAID, but I can move the whole array into a different computer and it will still be seen as a RAID...so I am not sure if it is hardware, software, or a combination of both. Or maybe Apple figured a way to write the RAID configuration info to the disks themselves or something like that (perhaps in the boot sector, say). Purely conjecture on my part, however.

Is that the Mac OS X RAID or hardware? because I also have the RAID setup in my PM G4 AGP. I was wondering if that 2940 had hardware RAID built in? Thanks,
