I'll repeat, I am proof.

Yeah I heard what you said ...

I can say with the utmost confidence that the article is wrong.

Doubtful, I can't see Apple not realizing that they included support for something like that and then writing an article in their tech support database explaining to people that it doesn't work.

maybe the driver is in the ROM? I don't know, but it works. This is software RAID, it is not hardware, I did this with the disk util when I originally installed OS X 10.2.

If the driver was in the ROM it would be a hardware RAID ... funny how that works, driver support in hardware equals hardware RAID, driver support in software equals software RAID.

Maybe RAID didn't work on previous versions of X?

I am running the same version and RAID worked fine under 10.1.x.

i didn't even get any errors, it just simply worked. Am I supposed to?

There are no errors, Mac OS X can not recognize a system folder on a software RAID volume because the volume itself can not be recognized until a driver for it loads, the driver support is in the OS and as it goes into boot-x and mach-init the driver is loaded. I would have to look up just when it happens as I don't recall, but its WAY after the system looks for bootable volumes that drivers are loaded.

very strange... Seriously, if Apple says it shouldn't work, why does it? If you find that article send it to me please. Thanks,

I will post a link.
