My just-acquired 9600 came with an Applevision 1710
monitor that has an ADB pigtail on the connector. When
I first fired it up it worked fine, then I changed to
a higher resolution and the screen went black. I can't
can't seem to get it to work right now. If I boot with
the ADB connector plugged in, the screen stays black.
It goes through the boot process and all, but I get no
picture. If I power the monitor on and off from the
front panel after it's booted and the screen is black,
I can see a momentary flicker of the desktop when I
flick the monitor on and off, but can't get it to
stick on. If I boot up with the ADB connector
unplugged I can get an image, but only at 640 x 480
resolution.

Any thoughts on how to proceed?

Steve

Is the ADB plug on the monitor cord plugged into the keyboard socket in the 9600? Is the keybopard plugged into one of the side ports on the monitor? If not, the keyboard won't function.
