I have given up trying to get my Canon printer to work on my FrankenMac, becasue the printer requires built-in USB and I have a USB card. Does anyone know of new USB printers that do NOT require built-in USB to run on older Macs?
I've thought of replacing the USB card, but based on what I have read I don't think it will make a difference.
I have great success with Epson. I personally have tried an SC 900. Great freakin' printer and the 3rd party inks can make this a VERY economical printer.
If you look up the specs at Epson.com they will tell you if they require native USB, at least that is what I have found.
FWIW
