I have been hesitant to say this, because I fear a huge backlash...

When I upgraded to 9.2.2 on my systems, it installed USB Adapter Card
Support 1.5.6 automatically. The only issue I've been having is USB
keyboard/mouse related.

I haven't seen a separate install for 1.5.6, so I'm not sure _exactly_ what
has changed.
