Your problems are because you removed everything to do with the video. The solution is to re-add all of that, get one of those Mac-VGA adapters and plug it into the video port. That fools the system into thinking it has a monitor attached and you can probably use Timbuktu or VNC just fine.


Moving up from 8.1 to 8.6 or 9 would increase the stability, too.
