I turn my machine off all the time I just click
through the error messages when I boot and it doesn't
seem to affect anything... HOWEVER!!! My mac is not on
a network! ;)

I don't tend to set the date and time either because
I'm a bad girl! ;)

It causes virtually no problems in my situation
because of the kind of things I do with my mac but I
guess if you have it connected to a network or a need
to keep proper file date stamps, it could be an issue
and you should type in the date or something.

I just pulled the battery because I didn't want it to
leak on my nice mac and when I went to get a new one
the man in the shop said that someone had come in a
couple of days earlier and bought up all that kind of
battery at once.

Then I just decided I didn't care and it wasn't worth
the trouble. Maybe I will get one sometime, I'm not in
a hurry tho.

Strangely I found that my computer actually worked
better without the battery when I was having problems,
because the conflicts would confuse my mac so I got a
blank screen and it seemed to remember to always not
let my video output work, whereas without the battery
it seemed to forget it was messing with me as soon as
I turned the power off, but my mac is a happy mac now
and doesn't do that sort of thing anymore...

love

Freya
