I have - once on a Plus and once on a IIsi, and it aint pretty, that's
for sure. Admittedly it looked like they'd never been replaced since
they were new, and in other cases dead batteries have been fine for
years, but after seeing what it can do to a healty working computer, I
definitely err on the side of caution now.
