TO this question and the more current PowerMac 5400 USB card question,
I am not sure if my answer is a Red Herring, but I always understood that
USB 2 doesn't work easily, if at all, on 0S 8.6 to 9.1.

My Belkin USB card is only USB 1, I just plugged it into the slot and away
it went. A little trouble with hubs when I installed OS9.1 was quickly
solved and it works ace.

Most USB devices are backwards compatible to USB 1, I've had no trouble so
far.

Running OS 9.1 on a 9600.

Regards
David Wilman
