I will find out shortly as my new usb card is on its
way.
My current card gets recognised as a usb card by mac
os since I installed the drivers but it just doesn't
do anything!
Maybe the new card will turn it all around. I've got
nothing to lose by plugging it in and seeing what
happens.

I'm not too worried about speed I just want to be able
use use my usb memory stick and card reader. I already
have a firewire card which I hope works. I do video
stuff so obviously I'm a big fan of firewire and
probably want it in my mac for that reason alone! Tho
to what extent I will be able to use it in that
context with a 300mhz g3, I'm not sure! ;)
I find the rumours of apple dropping firewire a bit
scary and weird. It seems like such a succesful format
to me that I think it can only be idle gossip, but who
knows?
