The Box of the Belkin card actually says that it is compatible with
Mac OS 8.6. Just at USB 1.1 speeds. But, I agree that USB 2.0 is a bad
idea and could be part of the problem. I fear that USB 2.0 cards may
only be compatible at USB 1.1 speeds with the Beige G3 and above. I
only think this because it pops up in the requirements of some of the
more reputable cards. This is probably because it has a new rom that
adds support for these cards or it could be that the Beige G3 has a
new PCI standard. If any one has a Beige G3 maybe they can tell us
what PCI Standard it is. It would be something like 2.x. The 7200 is
2.0. 1.0 was never released just a theoretical version. 2.0 is the
first released version of PCI. 2.1 is what most cards say they are
compatible with. 2.2 I think is the latest, but the basic PCI standard
seems to be dying with the advent of PCI Express or similar anyway.
