Invalid Page Fault In Module . . .
This error almost always indicates a conflict with DLLs and/or EXEs being
the incorrect version.
1. Launch Find Files or Folders and locate the file. Right click on the file
and select PROPERTIES. Click the VERSION tab and check the file version listed.
Note the file version number and date. Later version numbers and later dates
almost always indicate the later version.
2. As stated by another poster, execute System File Checker (SFC) to verify
the integrity of the Windows 98 system files. Note which files that it flags
as having a problem. DO NOT restore yet, use the Ignore button. The next
time you run SFC these same files will show up.
Compare the dates and file version numbers from Step 1 to those you found in
Step 2. If Step 2 files are newer (later date and/or version number) then
run SFC again and restore. In some manner you have newer and older files
mixed together. This usually happens when an upgrade diddn't work 100%
correctly. I usually remove the old installtion rather and re-install (or
upgrade) rather than extracting the files using SFC. See next paragraph.
