To one and all who are using Communicator, I am looking at finally switching totally from Navigator 3.04 Gold over to Communicator 4.7x, since I am just getting too many problems dealing with Java and JavaScript errors in both emails as well as web sites.
So I was wondering if any of the list members that use Communicator for their email/newsgroup/web operations could post hints and issues that they have run across with regard to operations that you have found. I know one of the classic issues I have read about in the past when problems occur is to make sure the cache area is cleaned out, but I know that others have shown up as well. So would be interested in knowing others that members on the list have found. One thing I would be especially interested in knowing as well, with regard to newsgroups, is how does Messager handles the whole issue of headers and related info. In 3.04 Gold, when I would go to view newsgroups, nothing was downloaded directly to my system, but rather the headers of each current set of unread messages would just show in a window pane. BUT it seems I remember that Messager (and I think OE as well) ends up actually downloading the headers to the computer.
