i am a hosting reseller. i just picked up a car dealership that hosts their
website with General Motors. However General Motors does not provide them with
branded email. I have agreed to host their email for a modest monthly amount.
However, I am alittle hazy on the mx entry. Do I contact GM and have them
change the mx entry to point the email to my server? And if so, what do I tell
them to point it to? My nameserver? If so, then will the customer still have
branded email for their domain, or will it be my nameserver domain?
Not sure how this works do if someone could please direct me to a tutorial, or
give me some info on exacly how you can utilize two different hosts, one for
website and one for email, and still use the same domain name, I would
appreciate it.
